about us
A collection of reasons to gather
Our story
How it began
It started with a stubborn starter and a cottage-bakery kitchen counter in White House, Tennessee — a stay-at-home mama of three little ones, baking in the nooks and crannies of the day and handing warm loaves to anyone who walked through the door. Neighbors asked to learn, a first kitchen-table class filled, and The Gathering Collective took off quicker than anyone expected. Turns out the discovery at the heart of it all is an old one: bread rises better when it's shared.
Our mission
Why we gather
A table is the oldest meeting place there is. Our mission is to create unhurried, hands-on spaces where people learn a real skill, make something with their own two hands, and leave with new friends — not just a full stomach. Sourdough is simply where we're starting: the dream is a place where creatives and makers of every kind can gather to learn, and where every class feels a little more like a family meal than a workshop.
“They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts.”
Acts 2:46 — the verse this whole thing is built on

Meet the founder
Trinity Wahl
Trinity is a stay-at-home mama of three — all three and under — and the hands and heart behind The Gathering Collective. Sourdough began as a cottage-bakery hobby at her own counter before the classes took off, and she builds this whole thing in the nooks and crannies of the day, one class and one gathering at a time. Her hope is simple: that every guest leaves with flour on their hands, a loaf under their arm, and the feeling that they belong at the table.
